Your questions before getting started

Before
entrusting us with
an assignment.

Who is MboaGuard for?

Primarily for the Cameroonian diaspora who own a house, apartment, plot of land or construction project in Douala or Yaoundé. The service is also for owners living far away and anyone unable to regularly check their property in person.

Do I need a subscription from the start?

No. A one-off inspection provides an initial visual overview and lets you see the report. Regular oversight can then be proposed based on your needs.

What is checked during a visit?

Depending on the assignment and permitted access: exterior areas, doors and windows, visible plumbing and electrical installations, accessible meters, visible damp or water ingress, and main equipment. Findings are documented; specialist checks must be carried out by a qualified professional.

Are the displayed prices final?

The one-off inspection has a fixed price of 50,000 FCFA. Other prices remain indicative: monitoring from 45,000 FCFA per month, and construction monitoring from 100,000 FCFA per month. Contact us with your property details, its city and neighbourhood in Douala or Yaoundé and your needs. Your quote confirms the price, scope and frequency before starting. Repairs are proposed separately.

What does a visit report contain?

It identifies the property, date and agent, and describes the visible condition and observations. It may include photos, videos, location information and a proposal prepared by our team.

Is this a technical assessment?

A visit describes visible findings. Technical, legal or regulated assessments must be carried out by a qualified professional.

How are repairs proposed?

Our team documents the observations and, if needed, presents a repair proposal with a price and recommendations. The work arrangements are agreed with you before work begins.

Can I view the report on my phone?

Yes, the shared HTML report can be opened in a browser. Some videos may need to be downloaded to play, depending on your phone and the format.

Do you operate in my area?

We are starting in Douala and Yaoundé, Cameroon. Include the neighbourhood and property location in your request; we will confirm team availability before agreeing on an assignment.
